CHEMARS

I was born Muntean Eugen Manuel a.k.a. Chemars, on March the 16th, the year 1982 in Romania, in the city of Petrosani. Since I was just a little kid I had a special interest in music, but I really started my affair with music about 12 years ago when I went to my first open air rave and discovered true electronic sound.

When I saw all those people enjoying themselves to the live performances of various artists and djs, I knew what I wanted to do.

Some years in the future, when opportunity came, me and a couple of friends organized the first open air rave in the area...by this time I was already experimenting with all sorts of music creation pieces of software, going through various music styles and sounds.

I was always more fond of creating and producing my own sound rather than mixing, but this changed when I found my true vocation sound and started mixing and producing music, addressing it to a more house connoisseur public including different amounts and influences of deep, tech, jazzy jackin house from worldwide.

I really got into music production only a while ago, when I was indeed sure of my abilities...I signed my first house release with 'Dustpan recordings', furthermore, this revealed for me a window of opportunity of doing what I really enjoy most in life...we shall see from now on what the future brings.

HISTORY

Dustpan Recordings is a music label based in Singapore, a global melting pot where the groove of the West meets the vibrancy of the East. We seek to promote, create and distribute house music, and in doing so transmit its positive energy and message to people all over the world.

The label’s musical direction is spearheaded by Singaporean artist, Kane Ian who wishes to break out of the confines of easy main stream music, push boundaries so as to speak, putting out quality house music for the dance floor and easy listening for anytime anyplace.
