RAMON VALDEZ JR.

Ramon Valdez, Jr., originally from the Bay area, now a Long Beach, CA native, was influenced early by his father's eclectic music taste, appreciating sounds from Alice Cooper, The Doors, Prince, and Bay Area Funk to listening to 80s pop and hip-hop pioneers like RUN DMC on the radio and television like MTV, BET & CMC.
In 1988, a Chicago friend's House music mix tape ignited Ramon's curiosity for this fast-paced, looping genre but did not fully immerse himself until the late 90s, exploring the rave culture, particularly embracing House Music. He meticulously studied DJs like Derrick Carter, DJ Heather and Diz to name a few, taking what he had watched and learned from their styles and developing his own unique style.
As a passionate advocate for House music, Ramon is skilled in DJ mixing and music production, along with his education background from the Los Angeles Recording School. Today, you can catch him on social media, check out his productions and also live streaming, showcasing his love for House Music by going to https://linktr.ee/djramonv.
In 2026, he is set to release his debut single, “The Culture”, on Dustpan Recordings.
