A dedicated crate-digger and lifelong electronic music enthusiast, DJ Posytyvy has spent decades championing the roots of underground dance culture.
Raised in São Paulo, Brazil, his musical journey began during the formative years of electronic music. He developed an early appreciation for the genre when it was still deeply intertwined with black music subcultures. While charting an independent path outside the mainstream, he developed a sharp ear for avant-garde, lesser-known sounds, earning a reputation for his uncompromising musical dedication.
His sonic identity is heavily shaped by pioneering UK bass, breakbeat, and techno movements, drawing deep inspiration from foundational acts like Shut Up and Dance, 4hero, Tek9, Altern-8, Peshay, and DJ Hype. As the global scene expanded, his tastes matured alongside definitive techno icons, tracking the evolution of Dave Clarke, Jeff Mills, Joey Beltram, and the revolutionary ethos of Detroit’s Underground Resistance.
While maintaining his status as a passionate selector rather than a commercial professional, DJ Posytyvy remains an unwavering advocate for the culture's foundational roots. His curation focuses primarily on Techno, Hard Techno, and his long-standing passion, Jungle. Grounded in the philosophy of authenticity and preservation over commercialization, his guiding principle remains simple: stay strong, stay humble, and stay underground.
