Diego Grasso, also known as Hypnotic Progressions, was born in the city of La Plata, Argentina, in December 1982. He began his career as a DJ at the age of 17, specializing in genres like Downtempo, Trip Hop, Acid Jazz, Progressive House, Deep House, and Tech House, primarily performing at local pubs and parties. His father's extensive collection of Jazz, Soul, and Funk records greatly influenced his musical taste. Diego explored bands like Depeche Mode, New Order, Pink Floyd, Yes, and Kraftwerk during his formative years. Additionally, he drew inspiration from prominent figures in the Electronic Dance Scene, including John Digweed, Sasha, Carl Cox, Deep Dish, Hernan Cattaneo, Matthew Dekay, among others.
