‘Amek Kau!’ (meaning ‘take this!’ in the local vernacular) is a party dreamt of the collaboration between players of the local scene.
Our first edition of ‘Amek Kau!’ brings together producer cum label boss of Dustpan Records, Kane Ian and Kentaro-San from the acclaimed Mugic Sound System.

Bio’s
Kane Ian
Singaporean DJ/Producer Kane Ian is a key player in the world of House Music with over a decade in DJ-ing under his belt and over a 100 productions to his label Dustpan Recordings yet he shows no signs of stopping.
Born in Singapore, Ian got the early bug for electronic music since his early school years forming the now defunct Radiance Crew with William aka Mr Pirated and Ming Knackle, they would throw weekly house music parties at various spots. Since early 2000, he has been invited to DJ at events and festivals all over the world, including cities such as Kuala Lumpur, Maldives, New York, Boston, Milwaukee, San Jose, Los Angeles, Hawaii and the Winter Music Conference (Miami) where his music and DJ sets are described as underground house with a funky, jazzy, hip hop tip. Clubs include the legendary Zouk, Singapore, one of the world’s Top 10 Clubs as voted by international dance music magazines – DJ Mag and IDJ Magazine.
In the studio front, Ian is the founder of record labels Dustpan Recordings and Upsize Music, distributed by IODA (USA), which release fresh new music from today’s upcoming and well known producers. His music has also been released digitally and waxed on some of his favorite labels such as Clean House (USA), Blockhead (USA), Funkfield (Turkey), Nosa Music (Taiwan), Trendy Mullet (UK), Big Wheel (USA), and Juiced Music (USA), just to name a few. His tracks have recieved support of DJ’s and producers worldwide with artists such as Mark Farina, Derrick Carter, Laurent Garnier, James Curd, DJ Heather and Wolfgang Gartner (Joey Youngman) playing his tunes.
His music has reached the Top 10 Download Charts in the USA and sees features on Radio shows such as Lush99.5, Proton Radio and Pete Tong’s BBC’s Radio 1′s Essential Mix.
Kentaro
Not much is know of the sly ninja like kentaro-san. As he weaves ninga mugic on the decks waxing on and waxing off only one thing is for certain… all vinyl all the time.
Tolga
Growing up in Stuttgart, Germany, the early hotbed of German hip-hop, Tolga’s palate for music stretches across varied funk and soul genres. With a penchant for punchy beats and groovy funk sounds, he first experimented with dj’ing at age of 14.
Crafting beats from hip-hop & funk and soul classics such as NWA, Kool & the Gang, Aretha Franklin and James Brown. Tolga presents the DJ scene with sets that span a wide range of the ghetto genres yet always maintaining the basic elements of a groovy beat and catchy funk melodies .
