This year marks both the 60th birthday of Masami Makino, who has remained a fixture on the nightclub scene, and the 40th anniversary of his career as a DJ (strictly speaking, the 41st). To celebrate, an event has been organized spotlighting three venues that he has described as especially meaningful in his career: Shinjuku Tsubaki House, Shinjuku Milos Garage, and Roppongi Ryudocho Sonora. DJs, bands, and singers who have shared the Tokyo nightlife with this key figure in the scene will gather together, joined by members from the venues where he currently holds residencies.
